Day Centre Short Breaks & Overnight Respite

 DAY CENTRE:

At Care Success Day Centre, we support young people and adults living with learning disability and autism to achieve happy and fulfilled lives. We deliver strategies that promote choices, to ensure that our young people and adults become valued members of their families and their extended community.

We deliver activities that are focused on enriching individual lives, building upon their skills and strengths, providing meaningful activities throughout the day that are tailored to individual abilities and health conditions.

Our Day Centre provides a safe secure environment in which young people and adults with Autism, complex needs, learning disabilities, and significant communication difficulties (including non-verbal) can spend the day together with their peers, this helps to build new relationships and promote social inclusion. Our activities are risk assessed to meet the participants overall needs, inhouse and outdoors.

The activities provided includes arts and crafts, musical entertainment, sensory and mental stimulation games, dancing and gentle stretching, table tennis, and outdoor activities, such as swimming, cycling, bowling, football, basketball, a walk in the park and many more.

We believe that appropriate physical exercise not only enhances contentment levels but can also help reduce falls and boredom.

We provide a morning tea break with a snack and a nutritious hot or cold lunch. We accommodate special diets, along with snacks and drinks.

The centre is staffed according to the number of the participants on any given day.

Please note we do not provide personal care, however we welcome participants who require and have their own personal carers, for their personal care needs.

Quiet rooms are provided for individuals who require rest periods throughout the day.

All timetables are personalised to each individual learning needs and health condition.

We take into consideration the main Caregivers (Families) input when planning our activities to ensure that the participant has a sense of familiarity with activities that they were already highly engaged in.

We also provide afterschool club to meet the needs of individuals who require activities and engagement until the parents/family member returns from work.

Opening times are:

10AM – 4PM DAY CENTRE

4PM – 7PM AFTER SCHOOL CLUB

We are happy to accept referrals from the wider communities and health care professionals.
