A day centre and after-school club at The Hub in Longsight, supporting young people and adults with learning disabilities and autism to live happy, fulfilled lives.
Care Success Day Centre supports young people and adults living with a learning disability and autism to achieve happy, fulfilled lives — with activities that build on individual strengths, promote choice, and encourage social inclusion.
A day well spent
- Arts and crafts, musical entertainment, and sensory and mental stimulation games
- Dancing, gentle stretching, and table tennis
- Outdoor activities such as swimming, cycling, bowling, football, basketball, and walks in the park
Food and rest
- A morning tea break with a snack, plus a nutritious hot or cold lunch — special diets accommodated
- Quiet rooms available for anyone who needs a rest period during the day
- Timetables personalised to each individual's learning needs, health condition, and family input
Personalised support
The centre doesn't provide personal care directly, but welcomes participants who bring their own personal carers for those needs. Staffing is set according to the number of participants on any given day, and every activity — indoors and outdoors — is risk-assessed around participants' needs.
Opening hours & referrals
Day Centre: 10am – 4pm. After School Club: 4pm – 7pm, for young people who need activities and engagement until a parent or family member returns from work.
Referrals are welcomed from families, the wider community, and health and social care professionals.
